In a not so surprising turn of events, a source close to the band says One Direction will go on an extended hiatus in the coming March and there will be no world tour despite the recent release of their fifth album.
The confidante elaborated on the disappointing situation, saying:
“The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boy-band. They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision. It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future. But for now it is the end and they go out on top as the world’s most popular music act.”
Hmm, we have a feeling this is the beginning of the end. The One Direction fans will surely lose their minds now. While the source claims this isn’t a permanent break-up, we can’t see a reunion in the future. Not only did the loss of Zayn Malik damage the group, but Louis’s impending fatherhood is most likely his main focus at this point.
