Who would have ever thought that the self-lacing sneakers Nike had created for Back to the Future 2 would ever be a reality. Back to the Future had every one wishing to own futuristic hi-tech sneakers, well. Nike has finally finally introduced the real life self lacing sneakers.
Yesterday celebrated the official day that Marty McFly travelled forward in time to October 21, 2015.
Granted things aren’t quite as technologically advanced at this present time, still no flying cars or hoverboards (those awful two wheeled Segway boards that have taken over the pavements don’t count), the fashion also isn’t as bad now as it was in the movie.
The shoes are set to be sold off via auction, with proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox foundation, similar to the pairs that were previously released in 2011.
More information will be released in spring 2016 via the Nike website.
