Hadiqa Kiani a singer, a model, a business woman and a social worker. She was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan on 11th of August 1974. Got fame from a song with her sister “zindagee ko ik nae dastaan mil gaee” released on PTV (Pakistan State Channel).
Hadiqa Kiani rose to the peak of fame with the release of her first song album named “RAAZ” in 1995. In the same year she won Nigar Award for the best playback singer in the film Sargam and NTM Award for the best female singer. She released Roshni in 1998, Rung in 2002, Rough Cut in 2007 and Aasmaan in 2009 and all the albums received same fame as her first album RAAZ.
Since the year 2000 there was hardly a year in which Hadiqa was not nominated or won an award for her outstanding performance. She won PTV Award for best female singer in 2000, Indus Music Award for best female pop singer in 2004 and 2005, in the year 2006 she was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Distinction) by Government of Pakistan. In 2008 she won The Music Awards for the best English song and the most wanted female. In 2009 she won AAG TV and TV One Awards for Artist of the month and best female singer. In 2010 she won two Indus Style Awards.
Hadiqa is not only a singer, she also has a humane heart, always prepared to help needy and those in trouble. She visited the flood hit areas of Pakistan in 2010 and did everything that was necessary to help the people in trouble. She helped build more than 5,000 houses in the affected area.
She was selected as National Goodwill Ambassador of UNDP in Pakistan and worked her best in one of the worst floods in Pakistan in 2010.
Hadiqa was married to a UK based Afghan businessman Syed Fareed Sarwary but her marriage didn’t work and the couple was separated in 2008.
Haqida is parenting a son Nad-e-Ali. She received many awards and may be one day she will sit back and think about those all and then will find one award the most precious of all which nature awarded her, The Humane Heart award.
