Bollywood babe Alia Bhatt is clearly shocked after the failure of her much awaited film Shaandaar. The film starring her and Shahid Kapoor performed a little too badly at the box office.
The fact that Shaandaar hasn’t done as well as was probably expected has been a disappointment for many.
Rumour has it that Shahid Kapoor, who was probably eyeing a commercial hit after Haider, is already beginning to distance himself from the film – he, apparently, only did the film because of producer friend Madhu Mantena, even though he was unconvinced about the script. And now, when Alia Bhatt was asked what she thought about Shaandaar not doing too well, she gave a fairly simple answer.
The actress said that it is sad when a film doesn’t do well, but also basically reminded everyone that this has been the only film of hers that hasn’t been much of a hit:
This is a first for me, so I’m going to take it in my stride.
Before this, Alia has done Student of the Year, Highway, 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania – all of which were fairly well-received. Shaandaar is the only film that has received exceedingly negative reviews and poor box office collections. Here’s hoping Alia’s forthcoming films fare better! Read more at: https://tr.im/R27Bw
